Candidate Privacy Notice

When you submit a Founding Team application, we may collect information including:

• your name and preferred contact information;
• email address;
• LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio or personal website links;
• current location and time zone;
• current role and professional background;
• technical, design, operational, advisory or other professional experience;
• availability and potential start date;
• compensation or equity expectations that you voluntarily provide;
• answers to application questions;
• information about previous companies, projects, responsibilities or experience;
• any additional information you choose to provide in the application.

We may also collect limited technical information required to operate, secure and maintain the application system.

Candidate information may be used to:

• review and evaluate your application;
• determine whether your background may be relevant to a current or future Founding Team role;
• communicate with you about your application;
• arrange interviews or follow-up conversations;
• compare applicants against the requirements of a particular role;
• evaluate potential advisory or working relationships;
• maintain records relating to recruiting and founding-team development;
• protect the application system against abuse, fraud or security threats;
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

Submission of an application does not create an employment, advisory, partnership or other contractual relationship.

Candidate information may be reviewed by the founder and by people specifically authorized to assist XEO with recruiting, candidate evaluation, technical operations, legal matters or company formation.

Access should be limited to people who reasonably need the information for these purposes.

XEO may use infrastructure, hosting, database, communications, analytics, security or other service providers to operate the recruiting system.

These providers may process information on XEO’s behalf only as necessary to provide their services.

Candidate information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to evaluate the application, communicate with the candidate, consider the candidate for future opportunities, maintain recruiting records, resolve disputes or comply with legal obligations.

Candidates may request deletion of their information, subject to legal, security or legitimate record-retention requirements.

You may contact XEO to request that we:

• provide information about candidate data associated with you;
• correct inaccurate information;
• delete information that is no longer required;
• stop considering your application;
• answer questions about how your candidate information is handled.

Certain information may need to be retained where required for legal, security or recordkeeping purposes.

XEO does not sell candidate application information.

Candidate information is not collected for third-party advertising purposes.

XEO uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect candidate information.

However, no online system or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

XEO may consider candidates located in different countries.

By submitting information through the application system, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where XEO or its service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

This Candidate Privacy Notice may be updated as XEO’s recruiting processes, infrastructure or legal structure develop.

The effective date shown at the top of this page will identify the current version.
